Apply for IBM Quantum Credits

Academic and professional researchers advancing the field of quantum information science can apply to receive additional IBM quantum computer access and benefits for specific research projects.

We are currently considering applications for individual time-bound research projects that are advancing the state of the art or developing new, cutting edge technologies towards quantum utility. Applications should be submitted by tenured-track or permanent staff.

Due to the high volume of applications, it may take several weeks to receive a response.

Benefits include:

  • Extra compute time on IBM Quantum systems
  • Access to information about new features, initiatives, and techniques to accelerate your research

Access is awarded on a project basis and is offered at IBM’s discretion. Credits have a one year expiration.
